The Fox and Goose is located in Cooksmill Green on the busy A414 between Chelmsford & Ongar and is a fine example of a traditional style 17th century English pub.

The pub has a relaxed atmosphere and it's experienced staff ensure you're well looked after during your visit.

The pub functions as both a friendly local and for people passing by with an emphasis on catering for the whole family with garden activities (subject to weather) for children,ample parking avaliable for large parties. There's an excellent choice of ales and a good wine list to accompany a first class selection of menus.

The cuisine is mostly traditional English with the emphasis very much on homemade dishes made from local produce and game when available. Tuesday to Saturday there are 'Daily Special's on offer, In addition to the  menu.

Sundays are aimed at the classic " Roast Dinner" which changes from week to week.

The charming restaurant can accommodate over 100 covers and can be hired for private functions such as birthdays, anniversaries, funerals etc.
The pub also boasts an excellent garden with glorious views overlooking the countryside.

We are now open for breakfast between 9.00am & 11.30am Tuesday to Saturday.
